Jerry P. Rhoads started his law practice in Webster County in 1970 when he formed a partnership with Tommy W. Chandler, who later served with distinction as Circuit Judge for Union, Webster and Crittenden Counties, as well as Webster County Attorney, and Commonwealth’s Attorney. Jerry and Tommy established a successful practice and represented many injured and disabled clients in Union County.
In 1974 Jerry relocated his practice to Hopkins County and represented the United Mine Workers of America (“UMWA”) and its members in their personal injury, workers’ compensation, black lung and social security disability claims. He developed a successful personal injury practice, which grew into Rhoads & Rhoads in 1976 with the association of his brother, Tom. Jerry and Tom continued to represent a large volume of Union County clients in their personal injury and disability claims.
Over the years Rhoads & Rhoads has developed a reputation throughout western Kentucky for being aggressive injury attorneys who obtain outstanding results for their injured and disabled clients. This has led to many referrals by our Union County and Webster County clients and has enabled our firm to continue maintaining a strong presence in Union County. We are very appreciative of these kind referrals.
Jerry and his law partner and son, Chris Rhoads, have been recognized statewide as outstanding plaintiffs’ personal injury attorneys and Jerry was elected by his peers as President of Kentucky Academy of Trial Attorneys (now Kentucky Justice Association), and Chris has been an elected KJA officer since 2002.
