Helping Kentucky's Injured for 50 Years
For 50 years, Rhoads & Rhoads has been helping injured people in Western Kentucky recover compensation for serious and life changing injuries. We have decades of experience handling a variety of personal injury, workers’ compensation, and Social Security Disability matters.
Collectively, Rhoads & Rhoads has 150 years of experience focused on personal injury and disability matters. Our experience means we don’t hesitate to file lawsuits when needed.
Additionally, our attorneys have tried cases on both sides of the aisle. Before joining Rhoads & Rhoads, both Chris and Brad Rhoads were personal injury defense attorneys. Their insight on how insurance companies think is invaluable when representing the injured.
Rhoads & Rhoads represents the seriously injured throughout Western Kentucky. We offer free initial consultations, and all cases are taken on a contingency fee. This means there is no risk to our clients: If we don’t make a recovery, you owe us nothing.
The law offices of Rhoads & Rhoads handle many types of cases. If you don’t see the category for your type of case, please call us at 888-709-9329 to discuss your legal matter and whether we can help you.
The number of fatalities due to auto accidents in Kentucky has steadily declined over the past ten years according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Nonetheless, there are still around 700 traffic-related deaths in our state each year, and many of these unnecessary and preventable losses of life are a result of passenger car accidents.
Ten percent of Kentucky State traffic accidents causing at least one fatality involved a semi-truck. In the United States, large truck accidents including commercial vehicle accidents take eleven deaths every day and cause 100,000 injuries each year.
Due to the small size of the motorcycle (as compared to other motor vehicles) and the lack of protection between the body and other objects, motorcyclists are 35 times more likely to be in a fatal accident than those in motor vehicle accidents.
If you are no longer able to support yourself and your family because of a long term disability, nothing should stand in the way of you getting the benefits you deserve.
In Kentucky, workers’ compensation provides injured workers with compensation for medical costs, temporary disability, or permanent disability. Kentucky State law requires all employers who have at least one part-time employee to have workers’ compensation insurance or become self-insured.
You should be able to trust the products you purchase are safe if used as directed and designed. Unfortunately, children and adults are injured while using consumer products at home, in schools, and in the workplace. When an individual is injured while using a consumer product, he or she may make a claim for damages through a product liability lawsuit.
Estimates show there are more than two million cases of elder abuse each year in the United States. Nursing home administrators and staff members have an obligation to provide appropriate care to their patients.
When death is caused by an individual’s or a business’s negligent, reckless, or intentional acts (or failure to act), the wrongdoer can be held accountable through a wrongful death lawsuit. Wrongful death cases seek to ensure the family of the victim does not have to shoulder additional financial burdens while grieving the loss of a loved one.
Tractor-trailer and trucking companies across the United States often place undue stress on their truck drivers to make deliveries more quickly than may be safely feasible. Longer hours behind the big rig can cause fatigue, resulting in delayed reaction times, poor decision-making, and even falling asleep at the wheel.
Industrial workplace injuries hit a record low in 2014, the result of aggressive efforts to improve Kentucky’s abysmal death and health rankings. The Kentucky Labor Cabinet’s Occupational Safety and Health Program has worked diligently to increase access to high quality training and education for workers and managers.
In Kentucky, state premises liability cases, property owners are held responsible for financial damages due to an injury that occurred on their property. Premises liability applies to individuals, as well as to other entities, such as businesses.
The drug and medical device approval process as regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is extensive. An approved drug entering the market has likely spent 10-14 years in development and testing at a cost of $350 million. A large majority of drugs do not ever make it through the process.
Nearly 30% of all injury deaths in the United States include traumatic brain injury (TBI) as a contributing factor. More than 130 people each day die from injuries that include TBI, and those who survive a brain injury face long-lasting, life-changing effects.

I think with Chris, when I first met him, and with everyone I’ve met in this office, they have a genuine interest in you. And they care about you. It’s not about making money. They want to listen to you and they want to understand and hear your story and try to help meet your needs the best that they can.
They’re a family, good Christian people. Their intention is to help you entirely, and I would highly recommend them.
I recommend Rhoads & Rhoads. They’re more like family. They’re not like a typical lawyer. I’ve never met any lawyers like Rhoads & Rhoads.

They went to bat for me. Without a doubt they knew all the ins and outs;, and what should be done, and how it should be done. I put all my faith in them and they did a good job.
The case went like silk. Smooth as silk.
Couldn’t have asked for a friendlier guy (Chris Rhoads). That’s the thing about everyone in this office. I’m just so impressed with how friendly and helpful they all are.
They brought us a lot of peace knowing that we didn’t have to pay all the hospital bills and medical bills. The attorney gave me his phone number. I could call anytime day or night and talk to him.
